About & leadership

The people behind our chapter.

Chapter 1678 is run by volunteers elected by our members — enlisted airmen and families who give their time so others feel at home.

Our story

Rooted in service at Geilenkirchen.

As part of AFSA Division 7, Europe, our chapter connects enlisted members serving far from home. AFSA is a 501(c)(19) veterans’ organization — independent, nonprofit, and politically nonpartisan.

Active duty, Guard, Reserve, retired, and veteran enlisted members, plus their spouses and families, are welcome to take part.

A welcome from our president
“Whether you just arrived on base or have been here for years, there’s a seat for you at our table. Come to a meeting, lend a hand at an event, or just say hello — we’d love to meet you.”
